Dawntrail story sucks. Sadly they are releasing Evercold early so most likely the story will suck there too. Gameplay is also pretty bad with very little new content to do at level 100

I was considering coming back, but it'd be $15 for 1 month, $50 for the expansion, and almost $20 to transfer a character. $85 to play with friends. Lol. No thanks. I'd rather play ESO or WoW. I can't even look at my characters.

You can't create new characters because the server is full. You have to queue up even on a normal evening/weekend. Game is ok but SE makes it meh.
