I loved this game, not offering a cheaper upgrade pack to the newer version is an insult to early supporters. Very DQ11 of them. Both should be ashamed and called out for the pure greed. The game itself may be the best Ys game I have played.

Imagine charging full price for patching to the latest version 18 month after initial release. What a rip off.

What a joke of a release. Never buying a Y's game after this crappy dev and publisher pulled a full price re-release. I even bought the ultimate edition to support the game. This publisher is going on the ignore list.

At this point the quality of the YS game is secondary to the quality of the greedy lashings you have to endure if you spend money on it.

So a dedicated fan buys a copy of the game the day it comes out and now has to pay full price for an upgrade or wait 2 weeks for a 30% discount. Nihon is really screwing its fan base with the proud release. will change if fixed.

Don't bother buying this. If you're interested in this game, wait until Proud Nordics is deeply discounted.

Outside of the excellent PC porting work everything on the sales and marketing side of these releases has been awful.

less than two months after the western release of YsX they announced YsX Proud Nordics. what a ♥♥♥♥ show... they have now become Koei Tecmo and bandai namco....

Apparently they made a full version of this game, "Proud nordics", that is not yet translated but already on steam. Sold separately, full price. I requested a refund because I don't want to pay twice for the same game.

Proud Nordics will release on PC in due time. There is no reason to waste money on this version of the game as no progress will carry over to Proud Nordics. Falcom pulled some real BS with this.

Half-baked and uninspired entry. Most certainly not crafted by the talent that did the previous entries. If this is the quality Falcom are settling on then i won't be interesting in upcoming releases.

There’s a new definitive edition, Proud Nordics, coming out with QoL changes, rebalancing, and visual upgrades. No upgrade path for owners of this version. Don’t waste your money buying this when the developer clearly doesn’t care about its customers.
