Unfortunatelly modifications Empire at War Remake 4.0 have bad battle clarity and 5.0 is buggy as hell. So maybe in few years. Otherwise yeah you can play the the Original, but honestly why there are much better space RTS outthere like Solaris, Sins of Solare Empire or Homeworld.

The game lags more than what is warranted for, and the so called "fixes" that you may find on the internet are mostly misleading and will only help it partially. This game needs to be optimized for newer hardware or simply be taken off of Steam. Doing anything else is mislead…
