It could've been called Slay 2 Spires. Fantastic game, but I weep at the missed opportunity.

This is the best game ever made

If you enjoyed Slay The Spire 1 you will enjoy this, its essentially just a better version of the first with 2 new characters in addition to the original 3 (They did, however, remove the purple lady).

Never played the first game, so went in fresh. It has a fun gameplay loop, though there are certain Act 2 bosses that I wince at every time they come up (often find them harder than Act 3 bosses), and some of the normal encounters are worse than elite encounters. Other than that …

Best sequel OAT; I prefer the first but this game is unique while still maintining the spirit of the original game in ways most sequels can't. I look forward to see what is added going forward. Definitely has the potential to take over the original game as my favorite of all time

Improved on the first game which was already so good! Love the new characters and the different shifting floors. The timeline that you unlock lore at is also a great add for folks who like story and world building. Being able to play with friends is also so nice!!
