My one big complaint is that run lengths are a little long for my tastes. Otherwise, the token system and hero design are massive steps up from DD1. Just don't expect DD1 part 2.

I want to love this, there are great things about it, but this ain't it at all.

Great art and a really solid sequel to one of the best roguelikes out there. Red Hook changed a lot of the gameplay systems so even though it's Darkest Dungeon it feels like a different game, it's perhaps not as good as the first one but it's very close!

My entire team is dead. again.

Wanted to like the game but I couldn't. It's basically a downgraded version of Darkest Dungeon 1. The devs basically removed all the fun parts and added a lot of tedious stuff.

The game is better than the first one at a mechanical level, but it is harder and more of a roguelike than a roguelite dungeon crawler. Very good thing for me, clearly not a good thing for some other people.
